Golden Eagle News: Week of January 5, 2026
Dear Golden Families,
Welcome back and Happy 2026! We hope you enjoyed a restful and joyful break and are feeling refreshed as we begin a new year together at Golden Elementary. We are all looking forward to a wonderful week welcoming our students back to campus and feeling the positive energy as learning resumes.
This week is already off to an exciting start. We are kicking things off with Motivational Monday to inspire our students as they jump back into learning. We are also looking forward to Pizza with the Principal, which gives both Mrs. Dempsey and me the chance to connect with students, hear their voices, and celebrate what makes Golden such a special place. In addition, we will be recognizing our Eagle of the Month and celebrating students who exemplify our Golden expectations and values. We also are kicking off our PBIS Refresh Week as we review and practice our school-wide expectations.
This work helps ensure our campus remains a safe, positive, and supportive environment where all students can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
As we move forward, we are excited to gear up and fully support our students and school community as we enter what is historically the strongest and most impactful instructional time of the year. This is a prime season for growth, progress, and achievement, and our teachers are ready to challenge, inspire, and support every learner every day. Which also leads to a friendly reminder that attendance truly matters. Being at school every day makes a significant difference in student learning and success. If your child is healthy, please be sure they are at school and ready to learn each day.
Thank you for your continued partnership and support. We are grateful to work alongside such an incredible community and look forward to all that we will accomplish together.
Warmly,
Kristin McDonaldPrincipal, Golden Elementary
