Dear Golden Families,

We just keep shining brightly here at Golden! It is a busy place, but your students are the best part! Wednesday's Battle of the Books was amazing! I just love our community!

This week we have Motivational Monday - it is back! Let's fill the campus with positivity! Also, Wednesday is our College Wednesday! Golden is an AVID school and we are excited to keep growing in this area to support all of our students!


And, another reminder that Wednesday the Golden Bridge Closure starts - weather pending. Please pay close attention to all communication regarding new traffic patterns and procedures. If there was ever a time to carefully follow directions (and truly, that should always be the case), this is it. We anticipate delays, so please plan ahead. This will be our “new normal” for the next six months, and your cooperation is truly appreciated. As always, safety is our top priority.

☑️ Register your new-to-Golden students for next year - don’t delay! Early Bird/Late Bird TK is first come first served! We need your help to finalize our numbers!

☑️ Sign up for the Reach Shamrock ’N Run! Who wants to walk with Mrs. Dempsey and me? The kids can run of course! Ha ha!

☑️ Please complete the LCAP/Stakeholder Survey by 4:00 PM 𝐨𝐧 𝐅𝐫𝐢𝐝𝐚𝐲. We currently have low participation rates, and with new district leadership, your voice is especially important. Your feedback truly matters. The deadline has been extended - please consider filling this out!

I hope you enjoyed your three-day weekend! We have another big week ahead at Golden!

𝐖𝐞𝐝𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐝𝐚𝐲 – 𝐁𝐚𝐭𝐭𝐥𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐁𝐨𝐨𝐤𝐬
This is an after-school event. Students must leave campus at dismissal and may return at 2:00 PM for registration. All teams must have at least one parent/adult supervising them. We are excited for an afternoon of reading, teamwork, and fun!

Dear Golden Families,

What a wonderful week at Golden! It was an absolute honor to be part of Mrs. Rasic’s Teacher of the Year announcement with the PYLUSD Prize Patrol. We also loved hosting our first annual Mid-Winter Concert featuring our 4th–6th grade strings, band, and vocal students. Each performance was impressive, and we are so thankful to the families who were able to attend. If you missed it, don’t worry, we will repeat this celebration in the spring near the end of the year!

We are looking forward to a week of kindness and love full of 100th Day Celebrations and Valentine Parties!

As a reminder, there is no school on Monday in observance of Lincoln’s Birthday. Here are a few important highlights that you can read more about below:

✔️ It’s time to register incoming TK and Kindergarten students who will be new to Golden next year.
✔️ Please review the upcoming Golden Avenue closure, which will impact arrival and dismissal procedures.
✔️ Our award-winning Love and Logic Parent Classes begin Tuesday morning. If you’re unsure how to register, simply show up, we will help you during the first session. These are outstanding parenting classes and highly recommended!
✔️ Don’t forget to sign up for the REACH Shamrock N’ Run. We’ve set a goal to increase Golden participation. We hope to see many of you walking or running with us!
