Dear Golden Families,

Thank you to all the families who came out for our first-ever Math Night! We had a wonderful turnout and so much fun learning together - and we were right... Math is not scary! 👻➕

It’s a BIG and exciting week at Golden! Not only are we celebrating Red Ribbon Week, but we also have our Halloween Parade coming up! 🎃

❤️ Red Ribbon Week kicks off Monday — be sure to have your children wear RED to show their school spirit and commitment to making safe, healthy choices. Thank you to our amazing PTA for sponsoring this weeklong celebration and for helping us make these meaningful activities possible!

🎃 Halloween Parade:
We are thrilled to continue our traditional Halloween parade on Friday morning, and we can’t wait to welcome all of our families as spectators! Please see all of the important parade and costume details below so that we can keep the day safe and fun for everyone.

🏃‍♂️ Jog-a-Thon Update:
Don’t forget we’re still collecting Jog-a-Thon donations as we race toward our $100,000 goal! Every contribution helps support the incredible programs, events, and resources that make Golden shine so bright. We’re getting close, let’s finish strong! 💪💛

Dear Golden Families,

What a fantastic week we had at Golden! It was so exciting to announce our school musical - Seussical Jr.! We can’t wait to see our talented students shine on stage this year.

This week is another busy (and fun!) one on campus:

✔️ Tuesday: Our first-ever schoolwide Diwali celebration at recess!
✔️ Wednesday: College Wear Wednesday - show off your college spirit!
✔️ Thursday: Math Night! It’s not too late to RSVP, and you’re welcome to come even without signing up. We are just trying to get a headcount for activities. It’s going to be a blast… don’t ghost us! 👻😉
✔️ Friday: PBIS Raffle Day and Dippin’ Dots after school

As we head into the busy fall season, I want to remind everyone that attendance matters. Please try to plan family trips around our scheduled breaks. We have a full week off for Thanksgiving and two weeks in December. Every day of learning makes a difference!

We also need everyone’s help keeping our students safe. We’ve noticed some unsafe drop-off practices along Golden Avenue in the mornings. Please remember that students should only exit vehicles in the designated valet area where staff supervision is provided. Your cooperation helps ensure all of our precious Golden Eagles arrive safely.

Thank you for your continued partnership and enthusiasm. Our community truly shines bright together! Let’s see those Motivational Monday shirts tomorrow… they never fail to bring smiles and joy! 💛

Dear Golden Families,

Last week was a blast! I loved seeing so many families at Movie Night - what a fun way to come together as a community! We also had some extra fun staff spirit going on. Loved the excitement from our students as they cheered us on!

Don’t forget to help support our Jog-a-Thon fundraiser! Every dollar makes a difference for our students. Check out the class leaders via the link below and help your child’s class climb the leaderboard, but even more importantly, support our school! We can't do all of the amazing things we do without your support!

Be sure to RSVP for Math Night - it’s going to be frighteningly fun! 👻

Finally, a gentle reminder that attendance is critical to student success. While we understand that illness and emergencies happen, nothing can replace the valuable instruction students receive in person. We’ve noticed an increase in absences due to family trips, and we encourage everyone to plan vacations during scheduled breaks whenever possible. Independent study cannot replicate the same level of learning as being in the classroom.
