We are excited to welcome the Placentia Library District Bookmobile to Golden beginning Tuesday, September 1! The Bookmobile will visit Golden on the first Tuesday of each month from 2:15–3:45 PM and will be parked just outside our gates near the Child Care portables. Families will not enter through the office, you can go directly to the Book Mobile!
Think of it as a library on wheels coming right to Golden! 💙📖 Students and families can:
- 📚 Browse and check out books, including beginning readers, chapter books, graphic novels and more
- 🪪 Sign up for a Placentia Library District library card
- 💡 Explore special library resources and select Library of Things items
- 🎨 Participate in special activities and programs that may be offered throughout the year
- 🙋 Get help from library staff finding the perfect book or learning about library resources
Even better, Bookmobile materials generally check out for 8 weeks! Families may also return materials directly to the Placentia Library District rather than waiting for the next Bookmobile visit.
👨👩👧 Important for Tuesday
The Bookmobile will be ready for families beginning at 2:15 PM. Students must be accompanied and supervised by a parent, guardian, or responsible adult while visiting. Families are welcome to leave campus at dismissal and come back to visit the Bookmobile. Students enrolled in Expanded Learning/Child Care will have an opportunity to visit through their program.
🪪 Want to Get a Library Card?
Families who do not already have a Placentia Library District card can apply during the visit. For a child's library card, a parent/legal guardian must provide consent and identification. Bringing a valid photo ID and proof of current California residence, if your current address is not on your ID, will help make the registration process easy.
