Golden Eagle News: Week of December 1, 2025
Dear Golden Families,
I hope you all enjoyed your Thanksgiving week! We are back and ready for three rigorous and robust weeks of school in December, so please be sure students come to school each and every day. Vacations and trips should always be scheduled around the school calendar. Instruction is never the same when catching up or completing an independent study, and teachers spend hours preparing those packets. The best gift you can give your teacher is the gift of no independent studies. Thank you for planning ahead and helping us keep learning strong.
Many of you saw that PYLUSD released the 2026-27 school calendar, and it includes significant changes. Please take time to look it over before booking any trips for next year. A few highlights are listed at the link below.
Our Spirit Wear Store is open now until Monday, December 1. There has been huge demand for this, and it will be the only official offering for the year. Place your order today, because the store closes on Monday.
I am also very excited to share that Golden is officially ranked number 56 out of all elementary schools in California. This is an incredible recognition, and I am truly honored to be part of such an amazing school community. Thank you for your partnership, your support, and all you do to help Golden shine.
We have a wonderful month ahead. Our Student Council launches their service project on Monday, and we cannot wait to see how many new pairs of socks our Golden Eagles collect to help those in need.
With appreciation,
Kristin McDonald
