Golden Eagle News: Week of October 6, 2025
Dear Golden Families,
What a wonderful week it has been! I absolutely loved seeing so many of you at Lunch with a Loved One! Thank you for making it such a special event for our Golden Eagles. The weather was beautiful, the lunches looked tasty, but the community and all around joy stole the show! I look forward to bringing this event back in the spring!
Don’t forget that PTA Reflections submissions are due this Friday! We can’t wait to see the creativity and talent shine through in this year’s entries.
I’m also looking forward to Friday’s Movie Night! it’s going to be a fun evening you won’t want to miss! Wear your pajamas, your Golden Spirit Wear, or your favorite Lilo & Stitch gear! Bring family and your appetite! This is always a fan favorite and fun for the whole family. Thank you PTA!
Next week is especially exciting because on Tuesday, our new Superintendent, Dr. Kym, will be visiting Golden. We are honored to be the very first PYLUSD school site she officially visits in her new role. I know she will be amazed by our students, staff, and the incredible things happening here every day.
We truly love Golden and are so grateful for the partnership and support of our families. We could not be Golden without our amazing community partners! Our Golden Eagles are working hard, thriving, and making us so proud each and every day. Don't forget we are in the middle of our Jog-a-thon fundraiser! This is the ONLY school-wide fundraiser. As you can already see, our PTA is very active in supporting students and engaging our community! We need your help to continue this excellence, so please send the Pledgestar link to all of your family and friends! I can't think of a more important thing than education to help raise funds for!
Finally, mark your calendars and RSVP today for our upcoming Frightfully Fun Math Night! It will be a night of math games, puzzles, and spooky fun for the whole family. Math isn't scary! Please be sure to RSVP so we can plan accordingly. We can’t wait to see you there!
Thank you again for all of your continued support! Serving as your principal is a huge privilege that I do not take lightly. All the smiles, hugs, laughter, connections, wonder, learning, and excitement make each day special. Let's continue to Shine Bright and Stay Golden!
With Golden Pride,
